The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Sept. 5 at 7 p.m. in City Council chambers on an application submitted by Grinders Above & Beyond for an outdoor patio at its 1671 North Main St. location.
In other business, planners approved a site plan submitted by Faith United Methodist Church, 300 9th St. NW for an accessory playground structure. The approval is on condition that the tree buffer along the west property line is maintained and the playground structure observes a 35-foot set back from the property line.
Also, the Planning Commission declined to approve a request to vacate Newbridge Street Northwest. Planners forwarded the request to city council for further action. It will take an affirmative vote by six of the seven members of council to overturn the Planning Commission’s rejection.
