Weighing In...

By DONNA NICKEL

Oh, we had a good time with this one....Our Town made the rounds at a recent Southwest youth football practice and asked some spectators the question: “If they were making a movie about your life, who would you want to play the role of you?” After lots of laughs and some good-natured debates with friends and family members, our would-be stars “weighed in” with who would win the role of a lifetime.

(left to right) Financial advisior Rob Sine had a hard time with this question. He said his friends frequently call him “Costanza” because of his resemblence to “Seinfeld” actor Jason Alexander. But if Rob is doing the casting, Bruce Willis would get the role. “I'd go with him because of the hair. Plus, every movie he's in, he saves the world.” Retired Repository route manager Dwayne Saunier, on the other hand, had no problem with this question. “I'd go with Tom Cruise. He's a good actor. He can play anyone.”
(from left to right) Cathi Spence was quick with her answer: Roseanne Barr. “She has a jolly personality and she's a strong, independent woman, like me.” The Alliance High School teacher said she relates to her students in a Roseanne-type way: “If they give me something, I give it back full force. I always have a comeback.”

Lori LaMenza, GlenOak cafeteria worker, would give the nod to Heather Locklear based on her role as Caitlin Moore on “Spin City.” “She'd be able to deliver the “one liners” and I'm know for my zingers.”

Jen Sedlak, the Youth & Family Coordinator at the North Canton YMCA would cast actress Jenna Fischer, who plays “Pam” on NBC's hit comedy “The Office.” She's so organized and like me she's able to deal with everything, juggling everything for everyone else.”

Krysta Gordon, a student and YMCA employee chose actress Drew Barrymore. “She's down to earth and nice. She's also quiet but outspoken about things she believes in.”
