LETTER FROM OUR EDITOR

By DONNA NICKEL

Okay, take a deep breath...now release it. Feel better? I imagine many of you, like me, enter the holidays already feeling overwhelmed and over-scheduled. Note to self (and to all of you!): Relax, even if you have to force yourself. Take the time during this joyous season to appreciate who and what you have in your life.
On your own or with family and friends, take advantage of the abundance of events offered in North Canton this month including nativity scenes, home tours, holiday shows, Santa programs, and many religious services. These activities and more are advertised in this issue.
Speaking of advertisements, I encourage you to support local businesses, especially Our Town North Canton advertisers. Since I hit the streets selling ads earlier this year, I've had the opportunity to visit many businesses in town. I'm continually amazed at the wide variety of goods and services offered in our community. This holiday season, rethink the “head to the mall” habit – you won't miss the traffic or the crowds and I think you'll be impressed with what you find right here in your own town. (Again, check out our ads because many businesses are hosting open houses and offering special discounts.)
Our gift to our Internet savvy readers: Our Town North Canton can now be viewed on-line at ourtownnorthcanton.com. Help us spread the word to out-of-town friends, relatives, business associates, and college students – North Canton news is just a mouse click away.
Make the most of these last days of 2006 and have a very Merry and Blessed Christmas.
Peace,
Donna
