LETTER FROM OUR EDITOR

By DONNA NICKEL

We've hit the Big 4-0! Did you notice May's Our Town is a little heftier than past issues? Our first edition, published in October 2001, was just 24 pages. This month, for the first time, we've hit the 40 page mark. We've come a long way since that first issue. People often ask if we have trouble coming up with things to write about every month. The answer is a resounding “no” - there's always plenty of newsworthy stories in North Canton. In fact, the hard part is deciding what we can cover, given the limited amount of space.
It is because of our many advertisers we have been able to steadily increase the size of Our Town. With that in mind, please make an effort to support those businesses whose ads appear in our publication – they make it possible for us to give our readers more North Canton news and features.
Our office frequently fields calls from members of the community who ask, 'why don't I get Our Town?' and 'can I get Our Town delivered to my house?' Our Town is mailed free of charge to city residents and businesses. Throughout the school year, Our Town went home in the backpacks of Northwood and Greentown Elementary students each month. If you or anyone you know lives outside the city limits and would like to receive Our Town in the mail each month, the cost is $15 per year. Please call Our Town offices at 330-499-2531 for more subscription information.
